Red-tailed Hawk

Why this ID

This bird shows the classic field marks of a Red-tailed Hawk: robust body shape, brown plumage with pale mottling on the breast, yellow legs and feet, relatively short tail for a buteo, and the characteristic upright perching posture. The streaked belly band and overall coloration are consistent with this species.
